Nicholas Carvan
Nicholas Carvan was born in 1976 in Penrith and grew up in the northern suburbs of Wollongong. He has a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing major) from Wollongong University and was the editor of "Newt", a literary zine, from 1998 to 2001. His first novel, Suburban Aliens, was published by Lothian in 2003. He has worked in bookselling - both new and used books - for most of the last eight years and since 2004 he has been the owner/manager of a second-hand book shop in Sydney.
